Coventry City owner Doug King told BBC CWR that Frank Lampard remains focused on his role at the Championship club. Reports recently linked the head coach with a move to Chelsea, his former club, but King dismissed these suggestions as speculation. King stated the manager is happy with the long-term project at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Lampard took charge of the Sky Blues earlier this season and has overseen a period of planning for the next campaign. King noted that the club and management are already organising recruitment and pre-season schedules for the 2026-27 term. He emphasised that there has been no contact from other parties regarding the head coach.
Coventry currently sit in the middle of the Championship table as they look to build for a promotion push next year. According to Sky Sports, Lampard has a contract that secures his position for the foreseeable future. The owner reiterated his confidence in the current coaching setup, per reports from The Guardian.
